Thailand: B3 diesel studied
Thailand’s Energy Ministry is considering replacing diesel fuel with 2% biodiesel blend (B2) with 3% biodiesel blend (B3), according to senior officials. The move is aimed at matching demand with additional supply of palm oil, the key biodiesel feedstock in Thailand. “This plan will pave the way before going to five percent or B5 in 2011, when we expect to see 30-40% more new palm oil plantations,” an official said.
