Thai-Viet to build US$50 million factory

Thai-Viet Bio-ethanol Co. has received a license to build a factory to produce ethanol, fertilizers and animal feeds. The factory, located in the central province of Ninh Thuan, has an investment capital of VND950 billion (US$48.79 million). It is slated to start construction in 2011 and become operational in early 2013. The plant is expected to produce 60 million tons of ethanol per year for the export and domestic market. The company also plans to establish an R&D center in the province’s Phuoc Nam Industrial Park to support the factory’s construction and operations. (September 3, 2010)
