Tata Motors strengthens leadership position in Indian market
Tata Motors launched what it describes as six first-of-their-kind heavy trucks for the Indian market. Through its Commercial Vehicles Business Unit (CVBU), the company also introduced Tata FleetMan Telematics Services, an intelligent vehicle & driver management solution. Tata Motors leads the medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) business in India, enjoying an impressive 65% market share, and hopes that the newly introduced range will help strengthen its leadership position. All other manufacturers hold a combined market share of 35%.
