Taiwan February oil product demand up 18% year-on-year
Taiwan’s total oil product demand rose 18.0% in February from a year earlier, following a 21.3% increase in January, official data showed. Gasoline demand rose by 19.4% year-on-year, and up 17.3% from the previous month, while diesel fuel consumption rose 2.7% year-on-year, but slipped 0.5% from January. Crude oil imports in February fell 18.8% year-on-year, on the back of a 10.2% decrease in refinery throughput during the same period. (April 9, 2010)
