Tae-wan promoted to VP of Design at GM Daewoo
South Koreas GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) has announced the promotion of Kim Tae-wan, formerly the managing director of Design Operations, to the position of vice president of Design, effective June 1. Kim, who had been at his previous post since February 2007, joined GM Daewoo in January 2006 as its director of Advanced Design. In November 2006, he became director of Exterior Design. Prior to his career at GM Daewoo, Kim worked for Fiat, where he is reported to have played a role in the Cinquecento, Punto and Ducato projects, and before that, he was chief exterior designer for the former Daewoo Motor, leading the exterior styling teams that created the Magnus, Lacetti, Kalos and Matiz.
