State-regulated fuel prices across Asia

Both India and Sri Lanka raised pump prices this week, following moves by Vietnam, Pakistan and China, to track a rally in global oil prices. India lifted prices by as much as 10 percent while Sri Lanka’s rise was up to 8.3 percent. Vietnam, which last raised pump prices three weeks ago, increased retail rates by more than 5 percent, while Pakistan upped rates by up to 12 percent. (July 2, 2009)
