SK to expand China operations

South Korea’s SK Corp. plans to expand its operations in China despite facing regulatory hurdles, in order to meet its goal of generating US$5 billion of revenue from China by 2010, a company official said. Katharine Kho, assistant vice-president of SK Corp., said the company is interested in any petroleum business in China but it takes time in obtaining approvals. She is looking forward to some regulatory changes in the future. (August 23, 2006)
