SK Holdings to increase stake in SK Energy
South Korea’s SK Holdings is considering buying additional shares in SK Energy, though the details are yet to be finalized. “To transform into a holding company, SK Holdings has to secure at least a 20% stake in SK Energy by the end of June 2009,” said a company spokeswoman. SK Holdings and SK Energy were spun off from the former SK Corp. in July. Currently, SK Holdings owns a 17% stake in SK Energy. (August 27, 2007)
