Sinopec’s Q1 lube exports doubled

China’s largest oil refiner, Sinopec Corp., saw total lubricant sales double in the first quarter following efforts to get a foothold in Singapore and Australia. Sinopec started lubricant production in Singapore three years ago, paving the way for presence in more than 40 countries in southeastern Asia and the Middle East. Sinopec plans to expand its lubricant exports to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth this year and expand its presence to all major Australian cities by 2011. (May 6, 2010)
