Sinopec’s first half refinery throughput up by 1.13%

During the first half of the year, China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (Sinopec Corp.) processed 109.76 million metric tons of crude oil, or around 4.4 million barrels a day, up by 1.13% from the same period a year earlier. Sinopec, Asia’s largest refiner, produced about 19.61 million tons of gasoline in the January-June period, up by 7.9% from a year ago. Furthermore, diesel fuel output increased by 1.7% to 39.10 million tons while domestic sales of refined oil products rose 2.6%, reaching 77.03 million tons during the period. The company’s production of crude oil reached 163.09 million barrels during the first half of the year, up by 4.3% from a year earlier, while overseas production went up by 82% year-on-year to 11.13 million barrels.
