Sinopec to double production capacity in Maoming

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (Sinopec), the country’s largest refiner, plans to double annual production capacity to two million tons at its Maoming ethylene plant in southern Guangdong province. Luo Yinguo, mayor of Maoming city, said that Sinopec Maoming Refining & Chemical Co. will soon start an expansion, which will boost its annual capacity to 20 million tons from 13 million tons.
