Sinopec starts construction of Singapore lube blending plant

Sinopec Lubricant Co. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its first ever overseas lube blending plant, located in Tuas, Singapore. With an initial capacity of 100,000 tons per year, the US$108 million plant is a joint venture between Sinopec Lubricant Co., Singapore’s Economic Development Board and JTC Corp. Sinopec Lubricant Co. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sinopec. The lube blending plant will serve customers in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, said Song Yunchang, general manager of Sinopec Lubricant. He said the plant will be operational by September next year. (July 29,2011)
