Sinopec Guangzhou to supply National IV gasoline
Sinopec’s Guangzhou refinery in South China’s Guangdong province, which has a capacity of 15.7 million metric tons (mt) per year, will be able to produce 184,500 mt/month of gasoline that meets the country’s National IV standard in 2010, in time for the 16th Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou city. Sinopec’s 10 million mt/year Yanshan refinery and some of PetroChina’s refineries in north and northeast China, including the 20.5 million mt/year Dalian and 7 million mt/year Jinzhou refineries; and the two 5 million mt/year refineries in Dagang and Huabei, respectively, have started supplying National Standard IV gasoline, ahead of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
