Sinopec constructs oil product pipeline in central China
Sinopec is constructing an oil product pipeline and storage facility in Chenzhou City in central China. The new facility will have storage tanks with a combined capacity of 90,000 cubic meters in Chengzhou, in addition to an oil product pipeline which is designed to transport 2.7 million tons per year of oil products from Changsha. The new pipeline is designed to transport oil products from Sinopec’s Baling oil refinery and Changling oil refinery. When operational, the oil product pipeline will boost the company’s market position in the province versus China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), which has also been building a new oil product pipeline from Langzhou in Gansu province to Changsha in south-central China. (June 1, 2011)
