Shell to provide fuel subsidy lanes at 200 stations
The government of the Philippines has recently rolled out its “Pantawid Pasada” program, providing fuel discount cards to jeepney drivers and operators. In response, Shell announced that it will provide fuel subsidy lanes at 200 of its gas stations in the Philippines. Other subsidies for the transport sector may be in the works, according to the energy department. The energy department indicated that the fuel cards may in the future be used for price discounts from oil companies. Oil firms are footing the bill for the production costs of these cards.
