Shell to improve regional fuel services

Shell Australia announced plans to invest AUD$6 million (US$6.2 million) for improving fuel services at Pilbara and Kimberley. Early this year, Shell depots in the towns of Paraburdoo, Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing, ran out of diesel fuel, affecting residents and truck drivers. The company has since committed to the installation of new tanks, pumps and canopies to ensure a stable fuel supply in the three towns and surrounding areas. In late September, the first upgrades will begin in Tom Price. (September 13, 2012)
