Shell to build lube-blending plant in Guangdong
Royal Dutch Shell plans to construct its sixth lubricant-blending plant in China, which will be located in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, to meet growing lubricant demand. The plant will help capture the fast-growing automobile market in China, which increased by 21% in the first five months of 2007. The plant is expected to be operational by 2009. It will be one of Shell’s three largest lubricant-blending plants worldwide, starting with an initial capacity of 200 million liters. (June 29, 2007)
