Shell Thailand celebrates 120th anniversary
Shell Thailand celebrated the company’s 120th anniversary on October 15; at the event, Shell said it was proud to have been able to serve the Kingdom and reiterated its commitment to help secure the country’s energy future.
In a related development, Shell Thailand said it may increase the number of 95-octane petrol pumps and begin selling E20 gasohol after it stopped the sale of 91-octane.
Asada Harinsuit, Shell’s new chairman in Thailand, also announced that the company would focus on three main areas: to bring in technology that will develop energy sources; build business partnerships in the energy industry to ensure the country’s energy stability; and develop human resources that will make the company competitive in the energy sector.
“Thailand is one of the countries that Shell sees as a priority, as all the businesses Shell invests in here are ranked in the top 10 by global Shell. Therefore, we will expand Shell’s business in Thailand,” Asada said. (October 16, 2012)
