Shell raises its fuel storage capacity at sea
Royal Dutch Shell P.L.C. has increased its floating storage capacity for fuel by about 1.3 million barrels. It has achieved this by booking two 90,000 deadweight ton (dwt) clean petroleum tankers: the “River Pride”, starting June 20, and the “Survetta”, from June 30. The tankers will be used for storage in Northwest Europe and will likely be loading up product in Asia, media reports said. (June 15, 2009)
