Shell appoints new CFO

Royal Dutch Shell P.L.C. appointed Simon Henry, who served as executive vice president of finance at Shell International Exploration and Production, as the new chief finance officer (CFO) effective May 1, 2009. Henry, who will be based in The Hague, Netherlands, will succeed Peter Voser, who will become the companyโ€™s chief executive officer (CEO) on July 1, 2009. Meanwhile, the company’s Japanese subsidiary, Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K., appointed former Vice Chairman Shigeya Kato as chairman, replacing Haruyuki Niimi, who retired on March 27.
