Shell appoints Harry Brekelmans as vice-president in Russia

Harry Brekelmans was appointed executive vice-president of Shell across Russia and the Caspian region last September 1. Brekelmans will also replace Charles Watson as Chairman of Shell in Russia and Board of Directors’ Chairman of Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. He will be directly accountable to the companyโ€™s committee of executive directors. He also will coordinate the activities of the group that will investigate and extract oil and gas in Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries. Royal Dutch Shell is a British and Dutch oil and gas company involved in the extraction and processing of hydrocarbons in the U.S.A., Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Brazil, Ireland, Russia, Canada and other countries. It owns the largest network of gasoline stations all over the world, with more than 45,000 gas stations in more than 90 countries. (September 2, 2011)
