Shanghai Feihe to build pick-up truck factory in Jingzhou
The government of Jingzhou City has signed a contract with Shanghai Feihe Industry Group Co., a Chinese manufacturer of air compressors, to invest 2 billion yuan (US$299.67 million) to build a pick-up truck production base in Jingzhou, Hubei Province. The base will mainly produce gasoline and diesel-fueled trucks and will have an annual capacity of 100,000 units. The first phase of the project will receive an investment of 350 million yuan (US$52.44 million) and is expected to start production in August 2012, with an initial annual capacity of between 30,000 and 50,000 units.
