September sales of GM India up 13%
General Motors (GM) India has registered an impressive sales growth of 13% in September, compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 8,617 units in September 2010 against 7,654 units in September 2009. The increase in the sales was primarily driven by the response to the Chevrolet Beat, Cruze and Spark. Commenting on the performance, P. Balendran, vice president, GM India said, We are excited by the continued overwhelming response to Chevrolet Beat, Spark and Cruze. Chevrolet recently completed seven years of its successful journey after its foray into the Indian market.
