Sanyo Chemical inventors receive patent for friction modifier

Tsuyoshi Yuki and Minoru Nishida, both of Kyoto, Japan, have developed a friction modifier for lubricating oil. The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,579,305 on August 25. The patent has been assigned to Sanyo Chemical Industries Ltd., Kyoto-shi, Japan. The original application was filed on March 27, 2003. (August 31, 2009)
