Samsung to build Bahrain lube refinery

South Korea’s Samsung Engineering Co. has won a US$314 million contract to build a 400,000 ton-per-year base oil plant in Bahrain, a report said. The plant, in which Finland’s Neste Oil owns a 45% stake, is expected to cost a total of US$430 million and produce high quality base oils, it said. (August 19, 2008)
