S-Oil adopts new look

S-Oil, South Korea’s third-largest oil refiner, launched a new corporate identity in July that officials hope will not only create a fresh consumer appeal, but also instill in the whole corporation the value of providing the best services to both its customers and business partners. Officials said the logo symbolizes the company’s dynamic and refreshing business approach and warmth towards its stakeholders. The change represents the focus that S-Oil Chief Executive Officer Samir Tubayyeb is putting on communicating the company’s expanding global presence and strengthened status in Korea. “S-Oil, which is reputed to have the most successful business model of cooperation between an oil-consuming country and a producing country, is committed to ensuring long-term and sustainable growth in Korea,” said Tubayyeb. S-Oil currently supplies about 30% of Koreas petroleum demand. (July 13, 2007)
