Russia’s Lukoil blames fuel shortage to fuel quality upgrade

LukOil President Vagit Alekperov said that the expected fuel shortage in the country is due to the introduction of a ban on gasoline and diesel fuel, which only meet Euro 2 emissions standard. He added that environmental issues demand switching to a fuel of higher quality. He added that most car manufacturers have already been producing cars that meet the Euro 5 emission standards.
