Russia’s Bashneft to rebrand 45 filling stations by March

Bashneft, one of the largest oil companies in Russia, will rebrand 45 filling stations by March of 2013. The company’s Senior Vice President for Refining and Commerce, Maxim Andriasov, said Brashneft also plans to launch its own brand of fuel by the end of this year.
The filling stations which are scheduled for revamping are located in the Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk and Kurgan regions. Andriasov said Bashneft is also considering the possibility of entering Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
“Right now we are assessing these markets in terms of prospects. I think that next year we’ll decide on our plans,” Andriasov said.
Bashneft said it would invest 3.7 billion rubles (US$121 million) by 2015 in rebranding its filling stations. The company also plans to expand its chain of filling stations by 150% to 1,200 outlets by 2016. Brahneft currently owns 486 filling stations. (November 30, 2012)
