Royal Purple introduces new line of marine engine oils
Royal Purple, based in Porter, Texas, U.S.A., has introduced a new line of NMMA FC-W Catalyst Compatible® four-stroke High Performance Marine (HPM) engine oils. FC-W Catalyst Compatible® designation is given by the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association (NMMA) for oils that have been tested, and have exceeded the performance requirements of bench tests for viscosity, corrosion, filter plugging, foaming and aeration. The company said that so far, only four marine engine oils meet this standard which must pass a 100-hour general performance engine test. Royal Purple’s oils are available in two multi-viscosity grades, 30W and 40W. Royal Purple will also introduce its new SAE 80W-90 gear lube to the marine product market. (June 29, 2011)
