Roxol Bioenergy to resume ethanol production

After an unexpected shutdown, Roxol Bioenergyโ€™s 100,000 liter per day ethanol plant in the province of Negros Occidental in the Philippines will resume production in mid-April. The plant was shut down in late March because of sedimentation problems in the distillation section. Despite the shutdown, the company said it will be able to fulfill its commitment to supply oil companies with a total of five million liters of fuel-grade ethanol. Roxol is a joint venture of Philippine- based Roxas Holdings and India’s KBK Chem-Engineering. (March 20, 2012)
