Rostov-based TZK-Avia may be sold to LUKOIL-Aero
LUKOIL-Aero LLC is targeting CJSC TZK-Avia operating the Rostov-on-Don airport refueling complex, which was previously to be sold to OJSC Rosneft.
OJSC Rostov-on-Don Airport is selling the refueling complex to raise funds for a runway repair project which is projected to cost at least RUB1 billion (USD31.4 million). Through competition, the airport expects to be offered the best price.
Petroleum companies are keen to expand their sales networks and they are interested in any relatively big airport. OJSC LUKOIL operates the Volgograd oil refinery not far from Rostov-on-Don, while Rosneft intends to increase the annual capacity of the Tuapse oil refinery to 12 million tons in the near future.
CJSC TZK-Avia has been providing aircraft refueling services at the Rostov-on-Don airport since 1995. The primary objective of the refueling complex is to ensure uninterrupted supply of standard quality aviation fuels and lubricants in accordance with the applicable Russian and international standards. TZK-Avia ships about 200 thousand tons of fuels daily and owns storage reservoirs for 22 thousand tons. The company’s revenue in 2012 was RUB564 million (USD17.7 million), with net profit totaling RUB54 million (USD1.7 million).
Joint-stock open company Rostov-on-Don Airport is part of the transport hub in Russia’s Southern Federal District.
