RIL gets U.S. government’s liquid fuel project grant
India’s Reliance Industries, led by the country’s richest person Mukesh Ambani, has received a grant of US$600,000 for its proposed coal-to-liquid fuel project. The grant has been provided by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and has been disclosed in the 2008 National Export Strategy report from the U.S. government’s Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC). The grant is in line with USTDA and the Department of Energy’s support for the U.S.-India Energy Dialogue. (December 21, 2008)
