Reliance to create an enterprise value of US$80 billion
Indiaโs Reliance Industries Ltd. will create as much enterprise value in the next 10 years as it has done in the last three decades of more than US$80 billion, Chairman Mukesh Ambani said at the company’s annual general meeting, sending a roar of applause through the shareholder-packed hall. Reliance Industries will invest in coal and hydroelectricity, and in nuclear power projects should that segment open up, he said. The company will also initiate some efforts in renewable energy, with a thrust on solar power, Ambani said. (June 20, 2010)
