Reliance appoints Warwick
India’s Reliance Petroleum Ltd. has appointed Mike Warwick, a former Shell executive, as a director, the subsidiary of top private refiner Reliance Industries Ltd. said. Reliance Petroleum, in which Chevron Corp. owns a 5% stake, is building a 580,000 barrels per day (bpd) refinery next to Reliance Industries’ 660,000-bpd refinery in the western Indian state of Gujarat. Warwick, who was chief executive of Shell’s global trading in oil, gas, power and chemicals, has more than three decades of experience in energy markets. (July 24, 2007)
