Reliance appoints Omar CEO in Singapore

India’s Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has appointed Michael Omar as chief executive officer (CEO) of its Singapore trading arm, Reliance Global Energy Services Singapore Pte. Ltd., effective August 1. Omar’s industry stint began in 1984 as a trader with Petro-Diamond Singapore Pte. Ltd. He joined RIL between 2000 and 2003 before working for Saudi Aramco as consultant in its commercial department for four years. (August 6, 2009)
