Gen Powertech and Kenersys unveil new products at Wind Power India

Two wind power companies in India, ReGen Powertech and Kenersys India, have unveiled their new products at the Wind Power India 2012 held in Chennai in late November. The event catered to the country’s emerging multi-megawatt turbine market.
ReGen Powertech launched the Vensys 87 (V-87), a 1.5 MW turbine, which was developed in collaboration with Vensys Energy AG of Germany. The company has a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh and is setting up another plant in Udaipur.
Meanwhile, Kenersys India introduced two turbines for the Indian market, the K98 1.8 MW and the K120 2.3 MW. The two turbines are to be released in early 2014. The two products were designed for low wind conditions, land challenges and grid issues. Kenersys has manufacturing facilities in Baramati and in Germany. (November 30, 2012)
