Rayong Purifier projects 5% sales growth

Thailand’s Rayong Purifier P.L.C. (RPC) said it expects sales to rise 5.4% from 22 billion baht (US$643.8 million) in 2008 to 23.2 billion baht (US$678.92 million) in 2009. The Thai government is mandating the use of B5, a 5% biodiesel blend, in 2011. RPC said it will initially produce biodiesel at its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pure Biodiesel Co., in Rayong province at 50% of its total 100,000 ton per year capacity to prepare for the mandate. It will boost production to 75% of capacity by the end of the year, it said. Rayong’s plant started commercial production on June 12, 2009, five months after the trial run started in January.
