Quaker Chemical acquires Italy’s NP Coil Dexter

Quaker Chemical Corporation, based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., has acquired NP Coil Dexter Industries, a manufacturer and supplier of metal surface treatment products based in Gorgonzola, Italy. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. NP Coil Dexter is a privately held company, which is a result of the merger between NP Coil Technologies and Dexter Italia, with annual revenues of approximately US$11 million. Included in the transaction are NP Coil Dexter’s commercial and technical operations and a leased manufacturing facility located in Gorgonzola, near Milan, with a capacity of 12,000 tons per year. NP Coil Dexter’s proprietary formulations of metal surface treatment products include pretreatment products used to prepare the metal surface prior to painting and other finishing processes. These products are used in the steel coil industry and general industrial markets including automotive, appliance, can, and equipment applications. Other NP Coil Dexter product lines include: corrosion preventives, wet temper fluids, pickling inhibitors, cleaners, rolling oils and lubricants.
