Qinzhou refinery starts trial operations
PetroChina announced that its 200,000 barrel per day oil refinery in the Guangxi Autonomous Region has started trial operations. The refinery is PetroChina’s first large-scale facility in southwestern China, which was originally scheduled to launch operations in June 2010. The launch of commercial operations will depend on the progress of the trial operations. The plant will reportedly be capable of supplying seven million tons per year of gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel to markets in southwest China. (September 3, 2010)
