PTT, PetroVietnam in talks to build refinery

PTT Pcl, Thailand’s largest energy company, has been in talks with the state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) about the possibility of building an oil refinery in Vietnam, foreign media reported. PTT Chief Financial Officer Tevin Vongvanich was cited by the Reuters newswire as saying that the firm, which is Asia-Pacific’s third largest oil and gas firm by market value, is also studying the upstream, downstream and power businesses in Vietnam.
