PTSC wins contract to build ethanol plant
Petroleum Technical Services Corp. (PTSC) said it won a US$60 million contract to build an ethanol plant in central Vietnam. Under the engineering, procurement and construction contract signed in Hanoi with the Central Oil & Gas Biofuel Joint Stock Co. (PCB), the plant’s investor, PTSC will build the Dung Quat Ethanol Plant within 18 months. Subcontractors, Alfa Laval (India) Ltd. and Delta-T Corp. of the United States, will join in the construction of the plant, PTSC said. The plant, located near the Dung Quat refinery in Quang Ngai province, will have an annual capacity of 100 million liters. The output will be used to produce ethanol-blended gasoline for domestic use. (August 25, 2009)
