PSO rejects fuel oil with high sulfur content
Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has rejected the shipment of 61,000 metric tons of fuel oil by Middle East oil trader FAL Oil due to its high sulfur content, reports the Business Recorder. PSO had contracted the fuel supplier for the shipment of 61,000 metric tons of furnace oil to meet the requirements of the Kot Addu Power Plant (KAPCO). Sources also maintained that rejection of the fuel shipment would not cause a supply shortage of furnace oil. (February 21, 2010)
