PSA to lower carbon emission by 50%
PSA Peugeot Citroen will lower its carbon dioxide emission by 50% in China in 2020, said the French automobile giant, adding that the carbon emission of its products in China will reach the same level as in Europe by that time. Accordingly, PSA will not only upgrade its traditional auto technology but also develop new energy vehicles in China. By 2010, it will bring at least six new gasoline engines to China, which will save fuel oil and reduce carbon dioxide emission by 20%. In 2015, PSA plans to introduce its unique Hybride4 technology into China, which is forecast to reduce emissions by 30%. (December 14, 2009)
