Production at Bina refinery to start by April

The production process in Bina refinery, Central India’s first crude oil refinery, is likely to start from April next year as work is nearing completion for this six metric million ton per annum (MMTPA) capacity project, official sources stated. Around 96% of the refinery is complete as of early November, with the remaining expected to be completed within three or four months. Bina Refinery is being set up by the Bharat-Oman Refinery Ltd. (BORL), a joint venture company formed by Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (BPCL) and Oman Oil Co. Ltd. (OOCL) in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. (November 11, 2009)
