Php500-million Bohol port to open

A Php500 million (US$10.79 million) port project in Bohol, Philippines is set to be inaugurated by the provincial government by the end of June. Independent sources revealed that they are fast-tracking the realization of the multi-industry cluster (MIC) which may mainsail the green energy development through a bioethanol plant from seaweeds set for production in identified areas in Talibon and Ubay. Bohol Governor Erico Aumentado said that Bohol has sought the Korean International Cooperation Agency as fund source for the project, which includes putting up a bioethanol plant, organic fertilizer and biomass power generation from red algae.
