Philippine agency to propose industrial fuel standards

The Department of Energy (DOE) in the Philippines said it will come up with a revised policy that will modify the standards on fuels for industrial use. This is in accordance to the fuel quality stated in the country’s Clean Air Act. Under DPNS/DOE QS 010:2009, the requirements for emulsified fuel, either bunker or diesel fuel, applied in industrial, power generation sectors and different types of boilers and furnaces are specified. This does not include mobile vehicle uses. The DOE is seeking inputs with regards to the amendment from related stakeholders to complete the standards. (July 6, 2009)
