PetroVietnam will export 85% of fuel ethanol production
PetroVietnam said it plans to export approximately 85% of its fuel-grade ethanol production until 2013. By then, the Vietnamese government is expected to put in place a mandate which would require all gasoline sold in the country to contain 5% ethanol. Exports will be reduced by 20โ30% after 2013. By September, PetroVietnam expects to have the mechanical completion of the 100 million metric ton per year (MTPY) ethanol plant in Dung Quat. The plant is expected to be onstream by November. Two other plants will also be brought onstream by 2012, one in the northern Phu Tho province and another in Binh Phuoc province. (May 24,2011)
