Petronas to shut down Melaka refinery for maintenance
Petronas is set to shut down its Melaka refinery in Malaysia in July. This refinery has a capacity of 170,000 barrels per day. The shutdown could tighten supply of petroleum products in Malaysia in July. The plant is expected to be down for 20 days of routine maintenance. Petronas’ Melaka refinery is responsible for supplying approximately 30% of Malaysia’s petroleum products requirements. (June 7, 2011)
