Petronas Lubricant aims to become major lube player in Malaysia

Petronas Lubricant International (PLI) Sdn Bhd is optimistic of becoming a major player in Malaysia’s lubricant industry despite stiff competition. The company, which is a subsidiary of the national oil corporation Petronas, is set to achieve this target within five to 10 years, Petronas Dagangan Bhd’s Lube Business Division General Manager Mohd Shobri A. Bakar said. Bakar said there are opportunities for the company to grow, especially in the motorcycle sector. Bakar said PLI hopes to enhance its market share which currently stands at 22%.
