Petronas Dagangan to expand retail operations

Petronas Dagangan Bhd announced plans to add 30 outlets to its almost 900 service stations in Malaysia this year and at least 30 per year in the future. The company’s investment in each station will vary depending on size, and will start from five million ringgit (US$1.4 million) to 10 million ringgit (US$2.84 million). Petronas has four hyper-stations, 30 super-stations and one Mesra Drive Thru. It is considering opening at least one hyper-station, which will have fast foods, convenience stores and other facilities, each year. (May 1, 2009)
